Savina Square Market

Categories & Tags: Square People
bustling crowd gathers at Savina Square in Victoria, around the year 1900. At the centre of this historic scene stands a large tented structure that temporarily served as the town market. This tent was later dismantled and relocated to Mġarr Harbour in 1903. The square is alive with activity traders, baskets, carts, and townsfolk in traditional attire, offering a vivid glimpse into Gozo’s commercial and social life at the turn of the century.
