A late 19th to early 20th-century photograph capturing a pilgrimage to the original chapel of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Ta’ Għammar, previously known as Ta’ Ġentili and later as Ta’ Pinu. A large crowd gathers on the hilltop around the modest chapel, which would eventually be replaced by the grand Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary.
