Menqa in Marsalforn

Categories & Tags: Beaches People
A rare early 1920s photograph of Menqa, the small fishing harbour of Marsalforn. Traditional Maltese fishing boats are seen resting on the shore, while fishermen attend to their vessels and nets. The stone pier extends into the calm waters, providing shelter for incoming boats. Notably, atop the hill in Zebbug, the parish church remains incomplete, missing its iconic dome, marking an important historical detail of the period.
