Marsalforn Tower in ruins

Categories & Tags: Towers and Bastions Architecture
A historic image of Marsalforn Tower, one of Gozo's coastal fortifications, standing on rugged terrain. The solid stone structure, originally built by the Knights of St John in the 18th century, shows signs of deterioration, with part of the upper section crumbling. A man sits at the entrance while others stand atop the remains, highlighting the scale of the fortress. Once a strategic defence post, this tower later fell into disrepair, marking the passage of time on Gozo's maritime heritage.
