Maiden Voyage of Royal Lady

The steel twin-screw motor vessel Royal Lady captured during its maiden voyage to Gozo on 30 October 1937. Commanded by Captain Orazio Mizzi, this was the first relatively luxurious ferry to operate the route. Designed for passenger comfort, the vessel featured seating for 482 passengers, a spacious saloon, tea rooms, and separate retiring rooms for ladies and gentlemen.
