A luzzu built by Wenzu Vella, known as tal-Qalfat proudly displayed with local men posing alongside. The luzzu belonged to Pawlu Buttigieg, known as tas-Sur Pawl from Ta’ Sannat, a mason turned fisherman, commissioned in the mid-1930s. The photo, taken in Xlendi, highlights Pawlu’s son, Ġużepp Buttigieg, seated at the helm
