Fishing boats are present on the beach of Xlendi bay. Xlendi is an important fishing spot on the south west of Gozo. At the time, there were only a few fishermen’s shed, seen here preparing their dgħajjes. The stone statue of St Andrew, patron saint of fishermen, guards the fishing boats, while the local church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel is in the background.
