Dwejra Watchtower

Categories & Tags: Natural views and Green Spaces
Perched high on the rocky cliffs of Dwejra, the historic watchtower overlooks the vast Mediterranean Sea. Built by the Knights of St John in the 17th century, the tower served as a key defensive post guarding Gozo’s western coastline. The rugged landscape below, dotted with hardy shrubs and weathered limestone, leads the eye up to the solitary stone structure set against a brilliant blue sky scattered with cotton-like clouds.
