Dwejra Tower

Categories & Tags: People
The robust limestone structure of Dwejra Tower stands proudly against a brilliant blue sky on Gozo’s western cliffs. Built in 1652 by the Knights of St John, the tower served as a coastal watchtower guarding the nearby Dwejra Bay. A person descends the staircase beneath the fluttering flag of the Order, adding a sense of scale to the well-preserved historic fortification.
